About us
For more than 30 years, Stecker Express is “the” partner for industrial connectors, cables, cable glands and protective tubes. The family company was founded in 1995 by Siegfried and Petra Ritter in Walddorfhäslach, Baden-Württemberg. Since 2016, the second generation has become established in company with Max and Patrick Ritter. With the launch of the successful online shop, Stecker Express has become a growing and innovative industrial company. In 2018 the administration was relocated to Reutlingen, Germany. It has been possible to build up additional storage capacities in the Engstingen logistics centre due to the constant expansion in the product assortment and the inclusion of further renown suppliers.

Our logistics centre
In times when many online shop operators rely on outsourcing their warehouse or even the entire fulfilment process, we at Stecker Express are constantly expanding our own warehouse in Engstingen on the Swabian Alb. Our team handles the full range of logistics tasks directly on site. This includes activities such as goods receipt and professional storage, as well as order picking, proper packaging of ordered products and dispatch to the customer. Each process is carried out directly in the Stecker Express warehouse in Engstingen. With a product range of over 100,000 items and an annual dispatch volume of more than 60,000 parcels, this requires not only dedicated specialists but also a good infrastructure with digital merchandise management, a large storage area, a variety of shelving systems, goods scanners and more! Stecker Express fulfils all of these requirements. This is why our warehouse team has occasionally been able to take over fulfilment for regional companies in the south-east in the past. As an experienced wholesaler, we supply numerous companies from all over Europe directly from our logistics centre. Our international customers come from a wide range of sectors including mechanical engineering, plant engineering and control cabinet construction, the electrical industry and telecommunications, the energy sector, vehicle construction, automation technology, the food industry, laboratory technology and specialised trades.

Sustainability at Stecker Express
In the future, we will strive for better and responsible solutions to combine ecological, social and economic goals and values in a meaningful way, taking into consideration the wishes and requirements of our customers as best as possible. In order to bring the topic of environmental and climate protection to a strategic level, we have initiated and intensified various measures together with the "KLIMAfit" project, a programme of the Baden-Württemberg Ministry for the Environment, Climate and Energy.

Not only the materials used for our products, but also the packaging must be environmentally friendly in addition to meeting quality standards. Both are reflected at Stecker Express, for example, in the use of space-saving shipping bags as well as the use of cardboard boxes made from recycled material. To save resources, we always dispatch orders to our customers as compactly as possible!
No more too many items with our set articles Our vision is to also offer all our products as set items. In this way, we want to offer our customers ready-made combination options to prevent incorrect purchases of additional items. Matching items can easily be ordered using the item number of the respective set. It is not only important to us to support our customers in their search for suitable items, combinations and solutions, but also that our pre-packed sets are available from stock
Customer support department
Service is our highest priority. Whether you have questions about product selection, our online shop or the installation of our products - our service team is always there for all customers. Our regional location in Germany offers local customers in particular the advantage of always being able to reach a competent and experienced contact person! In addition to telephone and e-mail support, we offer a wide range of contact options, without any queues or first or second level support. Our service team always answers enquiries in the quickest and easiest way for the customer, e.g. via WhatsApp or our live chat.
IT, Marketing and Graphics department
At Stecker Express, the IT, marketing and graphics departments work together from our headquarters in Reutlingen to create a user-friendly, fast and secure online shop. An important goal is to offer our customers the most accurate presentation of the individual products possible by means of detailed product images, videos and descriptions, helpful texts and graphic elements. We also provide numerous other resources with our technical guide, data sheets, posters, the newsletter and our social media channels.
Product Management Department
In addition to constantly expanding our product range, one of our most important goals is to provide customers with reliable product information. With a range of over 100,000 items, there is a lot of technical data, product-specific drawings, data sheets and images to process and generate. Our product management consists of technically experienced employees who know the structure of all our electrotechnical products down to the smallest detail.

At Stecker Express, we believe it is very important to have a trusting relationship with our suppliers, especially when purchasing our products. Thanks to many years of co-operation with brand manufacturers such as Harting, LAPP and Schlegel, we offer a wide range of products that we can deliver directly from stock. Not only must stock levels be controlled, but the coordination of delivery dates also plays an important role.
Accounting department
As in any successful company, the accounting department is our central point for the management of all our creditors and debtors. We attach great importance to supporting our customers with payment processing and offer a variety of other payment options in the Stecker Express Shop in addition to purchase on account, credit card payment and PayPal
Personnel department
As a growing company, many processes are added or change. It is therefore important that our team grows with us. At Stecker Express, promoting local training and jobs is an important goal. Not only do we create regional jobs at our central locations in Germany, we also offer and promote training opportunities for trainees, students and school pupils. This can take the form of an internship or an apprenticeship. Preparing the next generation for a successful career start is very important to us. This is precisely why we work together with vocational and specialised secondary schools and the employment agency to create an important basis for training young skilled workers.

15.05.95 | Company foundation of the industrial wholesale trade for electrotechnical & mechanical products by Petra and Siegfried Ritter in Walddorfhäslach (Baden-Württemberg). Focus on Harting products in small quantities. |
1995 | Opening of the location in Schlattgrabenstraße in Walddorfhäslach. |
1996 | Rapid growth leads to the move to a 250 m² hall in Walddorf. |
1998 | Opening of a further location in Haidlinsgasse in Walddorfhäslach. |
2000 | Consolidation of all locations in Weil im Schönbuch and foundation of the cable distribution company Schnittlängen Express GmbH. |
2001 | The first website and the first catalogues go online. |
2002 | The company is renamed Stecker Express GmbH and the product range is expanded with brand partner Lapp Kabel. |
2003 | The first web shop goes online at www.stecker-express.de. |
2005 | Relocation of all sites to Engstingen. Expansion with the purchase of a larger warehouse in Engstingen, today's logistics centre (storage area 4,500 m²) and start with new supplier partners. |
2006 | Inclusion of Flexa products in the product range. |
2008 | Merger of Schnittlängen Express GmbH with Stecker Express GmbH. |
2011 | The new generation of the shop system goes online with many customer-friendly functions. |
2016 | The second generation of the company joins the management: Max Ritter and Patrick Ritter as technical and commercial directors. |
2018 | The first in-house production with signalling columns is presented. |
2018 | Relocation of the administration to 1,200 m² of space at Lembergstraße 52, Reutlingen and opening of the external warehouse in Trochtelfingen with 2,000 m². |
2020 | Expansion of the product range to include products from the brand manufacturer Amphenol. |
2020 | Stecker Express celebrates its 25th anniversary. |
2021 | The Stecker Express product range grows to 150,000 products. |
2022 | Expansion of the product range to include products from brand manufacturers Hummel and Wiska. |
2023 | The new Stecker Express webshop with numerous useful functions goes online. |
