All-plastic conduits - the cable conduit for the food sector
The high-quality all-plastic conduit is a practical aid when it comes to protecting cables and lines from external influences during installation. It withstands high mechanical loads, thermal and environmental influences as well as chemical influences and is easy to install. Due to the different versions, the electrical conduit of the type AIRflex-K can be selected to match the respective application exactly and meets all the requirements necessary for the trade to ensure maximum protection of the installed lines and cables.
An all-plastic conduit is ideal as a cable conduit for the application of protective insulated electrical installations. The robust material of the spiral is made of hard plastic. Thus the spiral-wound, hard plastic tubing with integrated hard plastic spiral offers two decisive advantages at once: it allows cables and wires to be pulled in easily and can be cleaned easily if necessary. For this reason, the tubing is also approved for use in the food sector.
Ideal product properties for maximum cable protection
With its outstanding product properties, the AIRflex-GRS provides maximum protection for the wires and cables to be laid. Mechanically very flexible to flexible as well as liquid- and air-tight, the protective tube is also suitable for tough environments with temperature fluctuations. It withstands thermal influences from -25°C to 90°C, for short periods even up to an ambient temperature of 100°C.
The bending radius results from the degree of filling of the hose. Due to the extensive acid resistance as well as oil resistance, the AIRflex-K can also be used under demanding conditions and in climatically challenging environments and provides reliable and optimum protection for the cables and wires to be laid. The silicone- and cadmium-free hose is available in different versions. This creates a narrow profile which, depending on requirements, is smooth on one side or smooth on the inside and outside, thus making it easier to pull wires and cables in.
The all-plastic conduit complies with the protection class IP68 as per EN 60529 and is available in different nominal sizes. The selectable inner and outer diameters enable selection to perfectly match the respective installation.
The K-conduit - narrow profile for simple laying
The cable conduitFlexa K-conduit made of PVC is the ideal solution for use in many areas of application thanks to its high flexibility. For example, it can be used in automation, in plant construction, in mechanical engineering, in vehicle construction, in shipbuilding as well as in electronics for insulated electrical installations, as well as in the food industry.
FAQ - frequently asked questions about all-plastic conduits
What diameters of all-plastic conduits are available?
All-plastic conduits are available in the diameters 10mm to 56mm.
What is the area of application of all-plastic conduits?
All-plastic protective tubes are used in hygienic areas or in areas with similarly high requirements in terms of cleanness. One example of this is laboratory environments. This is due to the fact that the cable conduit is quick and easy to clean thanks to its smooth surfaces.
What materials and colours are all-plastic protective tubes available in?
All-plastic protective tubes are made of PVC and are usually grey.
What should be taken into account during selection?
Both the approvals and the requirements on the area of application play a major role here.
Which approvals do plastic tubes have?
Plastic conduits have UL/CSA approval.
