Cable glands for cables with free cable end
Cable entry for free cable ends
Cable entry plates or sealing grommets allow cables and wires to be introduced into and fixed in control cabinets, switch boxes and the like quickly and easily. The blanking plates and reducing adapters that are part of the system make it possible to prepare and cover pre-punched holes for later applications or to reduce them to the size that is currently required.
Jacob cable entry plate
Cable entries for cables with free cable ends can be introduced without any tools via the cable entry plate from the brand manufacturer Jacob. In mechanical engineering and plant engineering, tubes, cables and wires, and pneumatic lines are installed quickly and rationally in this way. The free cable ends are simply pressed through the pre-punched elastomeric plate.
The Jacob cable entry plate is attached directly by snapping it into place without tools in the case of plate thicknesses between 1.5 mm and 2.0 mm. The panel cut-out required for this is 112.0 mm x 36.0 mm. This corresponds to the panel cut-out of a bulkhead-mounted housing in the size 24B for industrial connectors (e.g. Harting).
The external dimensions of the Jacob cable entry
Length = 147.5 mm, width 59.5 mm, height without fastening spigots approx. 16.8 mm. With plate thicknesses of more than 2.0 mm, the cable entry plate can be screwed on. For cable diameters from 3.0 mm to 20.0 mm, 9 different cable entry plates with up to 29 openings are available.
