Construction site cable
Construction cables are the specialists for rough terrain among electric cables. Typical construction cables have strong resistance against mechanical damage.
Important features for this are the high wear and cut resistance. The jacket materials of construction cables are largely resistant against oil, grease, ozone and other aggressive media. Typical construction cables are UV resistant and can be used outside for unlimited periods. Construction cables are used in all weathers and climates. They are suitable for temperatures from -40 °C +80 °C, while strong temperature fluctuations may also occur. This makes them usable in all climate zones.
Construction cables also for home and garden
Construction cables are frequently used during construction to connect power tools, such as hammer drills, angle grinders and table saws. This is why they are found in structural engineering, civil engineering, interior design or even gardening and landscaping.
Gardening fans also frequently use the professional cables because of their durability when connecting lawnmowers or hedge trimmers. Whenever construction cables are mentioned, these three cable types are mostly being referred to:

H07BQ-F super robust thanks to the PUR jacket
The H07BQ-F
is the classic device connection cable for the construction site – it offers all the advantages mentioned above. The PUR jacket effectively protects the cores against many aggressive media and environmental factors. Thus this wire is resistant to sea water, oil, ozone and UV. Because of the high UV resistance, in particular, this wire is very well suited for longer use outside. It is also proven as an industrial cable for harsh environments, e.g. in the chemicals industry.
Underground cable NYY for high voltages
The NYY underground cable is a power cable for voltages of up to 600/1000 V. This cable carries energy and control signals when installed underground. Thanks to its strong jacket, the cable is protected against chemical influences in the earth and against bites from rodents. It therefore achieves a long service life underground. Alternatively, this PVC cable can be installed in pipes, in cable ducts or in concrete. The NYY can also be used outside. The available versions are the NYY-J with green-yellow protective conductor and NYY-O without a protective conductor.
Flexible installation cable NYM
Wires of the NYM type are the standard installation cable for flush installation in buildings. They are standardised according to DIN VDE 0295 and IEC 60228 and are approved worldwide. Their PVC jacket protects the cores against moisture, which is why they are equally usable in dry and wet areas. The most commonly used of these cables are the versions with 3 or 5 cores and with cross-sections of 1.5 or 2.5 mm2. Wires with a cross-section of 1.5 mm2 are enough for connecting lights and sockets. 2.5 mm2 thick cables are used to install ovens and other appliances with high energy consumption. NYM installation cables with larger cross-sections are used from the apartment to the meter cabinet and for the building connection.
