Split corrugated tubing – for retrofitted cable protection
A corrugated tube protects laid or still to be laid cables and wires from high mechanical loads, chemical and environmental influences as well as from thermal influences such as humidity or heat. The different designs are tailored to the different installations. Thus closed corrugated tubes are ideal for new installations, whereas split corrugated tubing or corrugated tubing double split can be used for retrofitting , if it is necessary to pull in additional cables at a later date.
Thanks to its high flexibility and resistance to bending fatigue, the universal split corrugated tubing is ideal for assembled cables, later installations or pending repairs. Split corrugated tubes are available in different nominal sizes, depending on the inner and outer diameter, to suit every application. When selecting the right electrical conduit , the minimum bending radius is also indicated.

The split electrical conduit FLEXAzip provides reliable protection for many applications
The outstanding properties of the divisible cable protection conduit FLEXAzip offer maximum protection of the installation from external influences. Thus the split protective tube for cables can be used both outdoors and in vehicle bodywork . The high-quality material is ideal for cable protection in applications close to the engine and on the vehicle interior, since it is oil-resistant and petrol-resistant. The laid corrugated tubing is reliable marten protection.
In addition to ideal chemical properties, the split corrugated tubing complies with the standard HB as per UL94 and thus has optimum fire behaviour. The design of the FLEXAzip is easy to handle and easy to process thanks to the TPE closure profile for tight sealing of the ZIP corrugated tubing. The polyamide withstands temperatures from -40°C to 100°C and has a tightness up to protection class IP40.
The versatile application areas for the split protective tubes range from automation and plant construction through equipment construction, mechanical engineering to electronics, wherever reliable protection is necessary for cables to ensure smooth function of the applicat

Split corrugated tubing – ideal protection for cable bundles
The split corrugated tube FLEXAzip is UV-resistant and shields large quantities of cable bundles. While it is available by the metre and can thus be cut to fit the application exactly, the complete set includes the split corrugated tubing, the matching closure profile and an assembly tool. The FLEXAzip is made of plastic which is corrugated on the inside and outside and, with its narrow profile, is very easy to lay.
The split corrugated tubing is the ideal cable protection for simple retrofitting for many applications.
Installation instructions for Flexa ZIP
Step 1: Check contents
The set comprises
- split corrugated tubing
- closure profile
- assembly tool
Step 2: Close threading aid
Take the assembly tool and close it as shown on the image on the left.
Step 3: Flexa Zip tool is ready for use
The assembly tool is ready for use and can be used.
Step 4: Thread the assembly tool into the tube
Insert the installation tool into the slot of the split tube and slide it towards the centre of the corrugated tubing.
Step 6: Slide the closure profile in
Slide the closure profile / closure lip into the guide strip provided in the assembly tool ...
Step 6:
... until it fits snugly into the slot of the split corrugated tubing and closes this tight.
Step 7: Insert the cable
Insert the cable through the assembly tool into the split corrugated tube and slide through until it comes out again at the other end of the corrugated tubing.
Step 8: Seal the split tubing
Hold the corrugated tubing tight with one hand and press onto the closure profile with your thumb ...
Step 9:
... and move the assembly tool (in the direction of the arrow) with your other hand. This inserts the cables into the corrugated tubing and the closure lip closes the split tube.
Step 10: Done!
The protective tube is completely assembled with cable and closure profile. This means the cables are subsequently protected from external influences.
Simple and quick subsequent installation
- fast, easy to assemble
- safe closure of the tubing
