
Wire protection
Screw terminals use a screw connection with or without wire protection. The wire guard consists of a metal tongue that is pressed onto the conductor by a clamping screw. The metal tongue is missing on screw terminals without wire protection (Fig. III-5). This means that the conductor ends of flexible conductors must be fitted with an appropriate ferrule. Rigid conductors can be used in both variants without further processing, taking into account the insulation lengths. (All information without guarantee)
