Cable strand
In electrical engineering, stranded wire is an electrical conductor consisting of thin individual wires and is therefore easy to bend. Copper is predominantly used as a conductor. In technical terms, electrotechnical standards (e.g. IEC 60228 / VDE 0295) differentiate between less flexible and highly flexible stranded wires as "fine stranded" or "superfine stranded".
