Neutral conductors, if present, must not have a smaller cross-section than the phase conductor. According to VDE 0100 Part 520, Section 524.2 (All information without guarantee)
Neutral or earth conductor
In electrical circuits with more than two conductors, the neutral conductor is the currentless centre conductor under symmetrical load. It can be used for neutralisation. Neutral or earth conductors can have different sizes, depending on the regulations. They can be normally stranded or split in the gussets of the main conductors or designed as concentric conductors. Nominal voltage
Nominal voltage is the voltage to which the structure and the tests of the wires with regard to the electrical properties are related. The rated voltage is expressed in V by specifying two alternating voltages Uo/0: Uo = effective value between an outer conductor and "earth" (non-insulating environment). U = effective value between two outer conductors of a multi-core cable or a system of single-core wires. (All data without guarantee)
Nominal voltage-U
The nominal voltage U indicates the effective value between two outer conductors of a multi- or multi-core cable or a system of single-core cables in the three-phase network. (All data without guarantee)
Nominal voltage-Uo
The rated voltage Uo indicates the effective value between an outer conductor and earth. The rated voltage is calculated by specifying two AC voltages (Uo/U) in KV. (All data without guarantee)
Nylon (PA)
A group of polyamides, primarily used as an outer protective cover. Chemical resistance to petrol, oil and grease. (All data without guarantee)
