H01N2-D single core cable – The perfect welding lead
A rubber cable for all welding specialists – the H01N2-D single core cable from Lapp meets the high requirements and features high robustness and flexibility. It withstands external influences such as light, oil, ozone, shielding gas and oxygen and retains its flexibility due to its resistance to thermal strains such as cold, heat and fire. The special wire is used wherever high currents are transmitted from electric welding devices to welding tools. Versions that differ in conductor cross-section and cable outer diameter support the right selection of the suitable product for the different installations. The welding lead complies with NSGAFÖU construction and therefore withstands particularly heavy mechanical loads.
Reliable thanks to excellent product properties
The strands of the H01N2-D welding lead consist of bare copper wires. This ultra-fine wire complies with Class 6 conductor construction according to IEC 60332-1-2. The separation layer consists of plastic film or paper; the outer jacket is made of a Type EM5 rubber mixture. The wire withstands temperatures of -25°C to 85°C in moving installations and is therefore ideally suited for use in dry, moist and wet spaces and for outdoor use. The special wire for transmitting high currents from an electronic welding device to the welding tool is self-extinguishing and flame retardant. The single core cable is made of rubber and is therefore ideally suited for arc welding. UV resistance, weather resistance and oxygen resistance protect the cable from the influences of harsh environments and thermal impacts. The wires are also largely oil-resistant and petrol-resistant. The H01N2-D welding lead is also ideally suited for flexible applications without positive operation and without tensile load.
What does the designation H01N2-D mean
To find the right cable for the respective application with regard to the influences and specifications, the product designations consist of letters and numbers. The letters specify the cable’s properties and materials; the numbers indicate the number of cores and their size. The H01N2-D single core cable can be translated as follows:
- H – harmonised cable designation, the type identification is valid throughout Europe in accordance with the (HAR) DIN standard VDE0281/0282/0292
- 01 - designates the rated voltage, here the approval for 100V between the outer conductor and the earth potential (PE), and 100V between the outer conductors
- N2 – Jacket/inner jacket material: chloroprene-based rubber
- D – Conductor type; finely stranded conductor for welding leads
