For perfect cable protection – the conduit connectors
It is the perfect cable protection solution – conduit connectors for new installations or retrofit installations of electrical conduits for wires and cables. Thanks to its tensile strength, a high-quality corrugated tubing connector is the ideal solution to guarantee safe cable protection. The simple handling allows time to be savedduring installation. The different products meet IP protection class requirements and are convincing on account of their product properties.
The spectrum of conduit connectors is as varied as the different trades. Different threads with lengths, inner and outer diameter as well as spanner width are indicators of the suitable product. These withstand temperatures of -40°C to 120°C and are thus ideal even for climatically challenging applications. Thus suitable corrugated tubing connectors can be selected for every application in order to guarantee maximum protection.
Tight and robust corrugated tubing connector from Flexa
Corrugated tubing connector, corrugated tubing distributor and corrugated tubing flange connection are essential for air- and water-tight connections between corrugated tubes. The connectors made of stainless steel, plastic or brass are used in industrial and domestic applications to connect corrugated tubing to taps or flanges. Alongside connectors for connection to containers, we also supply high-quality corrugated tubing distributors from Flexa.
Impressive product properties of electrical conduit connector
Many requirements need to be fulfilled when corrugated tubing connectors are installed as cable protection. For this demanding task, every corrugated tubing connector with the suitable outer diameter has the necessary properties. For example, the are halogen-free and UV-resistant in terms of fire behaviour. In connection with chemical applications, the Flexa connectors are largely acid-resistant, silicone-free, cadmium-free and largely solvent-resistant in terms of material. The oil- and petrol-resistant properties are also fulfilled, which means wide usage for many trades, even including demanding environments and a high temperature range.
Depending on the area of application and stress placed on the tube connection, a corrugated tubing connector is made of stainless steel or brass. There are various possibilities available for sealing the union nut. The suitable sealing rings, seal inserts and/or O-rings are often made of chloroprene rubber/nitrile rubber (CR/NR), polyamide (PA), nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) or brass. In addition, the connector for corrugated tube is often made of plastic such as polyamide. With these models, sealing is achieved by sealing rings made of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE).
What is a corrugated tubing connector?
A corrugated tubing connector is usually made up of a union nut, sealing ring(s) and a mating piece with female or male thread. To prepare for attachment of a connector, the corrugated tubing must be cut off straight.
Since there can be significant differences in terms of material and structure of connectors for corrugated tubing, it is recommended to take note of the manufacturer’s instructions.
Flexa connectors - The ideal solution for cable protection
A Flexa electrical conduit connector is the perfect solution for many trades:
Thus, for example, there are connectors for corrugated tubing made of plastic as a flange connection with and without flange seal, for split DUO corrugated tubing with different threads, connectors for spiral cable protection as a metal tube olive for all-plastic conduits, protective metal conduits as well as with outer braiding as straight or angular thread.
The specifications for the respective industry have been taken into account for the different Flexa connectors. Thus there are food-safe conduit connectors, special products for fire protection conduits, M-thread as quick-action or metal connector and some with strain relief. For special requirements, there are conduit connectors with ATEX marking or for EMC applications. If the installation needs to go round a corner, the angle/elbow electrical conduit connector is used. Here, the variants with quick-action and metal connectors as angle and elbow threads cover all conceivable application prerequisites. For even more flexibility, rotatable conduit connectors are used for plastic, metal and quick-action connectors.
An electrical conduit connector offers maximum flexibility and the right product for a wide range of different requirements – for safe cable protection.
What sizes of corrugated tubing connectors are available?
No matter whether made of plastic or stainless steel: Corrugated tubing connectors are often offered in metric sizes. The most popular formats include the following sizes e.g. from the Flexa series RQGZ1-M, FK, FVG: M10, M20, M25 as well as M63.
Our range of corrugated tubing connectors or quick-action connectors from Flexa covers the following types among others:
- Corrugated tubing connector plastic, straight (M10 – M63): Quick-action connector from the RQG series. Available in black or grey, made of robust polyamide, with seal made of thermoplastic elastomer and conically sealing male thread. The quick-action connectors with straight thread are available in sizes M10 to M63 and are suitable for corrugated tubing with an outer diameter of 10 to 54.5 mm. The connector is designed for a temperature range from -40°C to 120°C and certified to protection class IP66. In addition, this Flexa quick-action connector is largely acid- and solvent-resistant as well as silicone- and cadmium-free.
- Corrugated tubing connector plastic angled (M10 – M63): e.g. the angled quick-action connector from the Flexa RQW-M series with 90 degree elbow. The polyamide connector is available in black and grey and has an extremely tight, conical male thread and is available for tubing outer diameter 10.0mm to 54.5mm. It is certified to protection class IP68 / IP69K and withstands temperatures of -40°C to 120°C.
- Corrugated tubing flange connection: e.g. Flexa FFL made of polyamide in black or grey, complete with flange seal made of nitrile rubber (NR). Available for outer diameters from 21.2 mm to 54.5 mm.
- Corrugated tubing T-distributors & Y-distributors: Flexa RQT and RQY distributors are made of thermoplastic elastomer and are suitable for rational tubing installation thanks to simple insertion.

FAQ - frequently asked questions about corrugated tubing connectors
What are the properties of corrugated tubing connectors?
Connectors for corrugated tubes are easy to fit and fasten in place. They are mechanically very stable, torsion-resistant and can be used in straight or angled design, depending on output cable.
What sizes of corrugated tubing connectors are available?
Connectors are available from 10mm through to jumbo tubing with a diameter of 106mm.
What are corrugated tubing connectors needed for?
They are needed for fitting a protective tube to the connector, the housing or through the wall.
How are connectors for Flexa protective tubes constructed?
A connector comprises a body, a housing and a nut.
What should be taken into account during selection?
The selection depends on the thread size and the requirements on mechanical stability. The design is also decisive.
