Power connectors
Efficient and modular: Hummel power connectors
There is hardly a branch of industry that can do without power connectors for wires carrying signals or current. Power connectors are the means of choice for a reliable connection that is reversible and convenient to use. Depending on the application purpose, our power connectors have up to 19 pins.
Whether round, as a conventional 7/8 inch circular connector or corrosion-resistant M23 power connector made of stainless steel / Inox: our range includes high-quality connectors from Hummel for almost every industrial sector.
What are power connectors?
Power connectors or also power connectors from Harting or Hummel are suitable for both low and high voltage applications. They ensure a secure and mechanically robust connection of the wires installed in them.

The M23 power connector – the classic that is easy to assemble
M23 power connectors not only offer the right solution for every application, but are also robust power connectors that are used even in more difficult applications. The M23 family is therefore one of the classic power connectors and, with a power transmission of up to 28A/630V, can face off almost any challenge.
Depending on the model, the Hummel circular connectors - available as M12 connectors or M23 connectors among others - have a quick-action locking system that allows the connectors to be locked and unlocked quickly if required.
Even if the term power connector indicates that this type of connector is mainly used for high-voltage applications, this type of connector is frequently used in sensor technology. That is why, in addition to the classic power connector, Hummel also offers M40 hybrid connectors, in which current- and signal-carrying wires can be housed in one connector housing.
Application areas of power connectors
Hummel power connectors are used in almost every branch of industry. These include sensor technology in Industry 4.0, where they are used for signal and data transmission, as well as where currents with a high power factor are transmitted without loss. Power connectors are also indispensable in areas where strict hygiene standards apply or wires for signal and power transmission must be protected from mechanical or environmental influences. In addition to the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, these signal and power connectors are also used by energy suppliers, as well as refineries.
Types / sizes of power connectors
M58 circular connectors: Available in round design as socket or connector version with straight cable outlet. Optionally made of plastic or aluminium, designed for a rated current of up to 630V. Also available as M40 power connectors, as well as M23 power connectors or M17 circular connectors.
M12 power connector: with coding K, L, S, T: freely configurable M12 circular connectors, suitable for a rated current of up to 630V and a rated voltage of up to 16A.
7/8 inch circular connector: available in socket and connector versions, with straight or angled cable outlet. Depending on the model, these circular connectors are designed for rated currents of 60, 250, 300 or 630V. Optionally with housings made of PBT, brass, zinc or aluminium.
M23 power connectors stainless steel / INOX: M23 connector e.g. 12-pin with corrosion-resistant stainless steel housing in straight or angled design. The power connector is available in installation size M23 as a socket or as a connector with a pin insert.
M12 power connector: Circular connectors in size M12 in various designs, including: straight, angled, angled, rotatable, as well as with rotated contact.
M40 power connectors: available with screw or plug-in locking, 6 or 8 pin (with PE) and designed for rated voltages of up to 630V.
