Liquid-tight protective metal conduits for harsh environments
The selection of liquid-tight metal conduits is suitable for all cable protection installations where there are special environment conditions due to areas of application involving chemicals and oil. Taking the mechanical loads and chemical influences into account, the sheathing offers professional protection. The rugged and liquid-tight cable protection solution made of galvanised steel complies with the highest technical requirements and can easily be implemented in the various industrial trades as reliable protection.
In order to provide optimum cover for the different requirements of the industrial sectors, there are various models available which guarantee optimum protection through their high product quality. The liquid-tight protective metal conduits are available with spirally rolled profile and PVC sheathing, with PUR sheathing as well as with copper braiding and PUR sheathing. The high-quality galvanised steel of the sheathing together with the cold rolled strip fulfils all the prerequisites of standard VDE EN/IEC 61386-23 and complies with the tightly sealing protection class IP68.
Reliable cable protection with the liquid-tight metal conduit
Optimum cable protection can be achieved in almost all installations thanks to product properties. Thus the mechanical behaviour is very flexible, has high tensile strength and is partly torsion-resistant. A high toughness and abrasion resistance permit use even in environments where more difficult conditions prevail. The liquid-tight metal conduit can withstand temperatures in the range from -50°C to 100°C, for example. Thanks to microbe-resistant properties, the electrical conduit can even be used reliably even where there is heavy soiling. To determine the suitable product, the most important specifications such as inner and outer diameter as well as minimum bending radius in the moved and fixed state must be given for the individual products.
The heat-resistant properties make the protective metal conduit ideal for use in installations in rail vehicles. The heat-resistant properties also protect cables and wires in the field of automation or in plant construction and mechanical engineering. Heavy mechanical loads occur in electronics or vehicle construction; the cable protection is the optimum solution here, too. In shipbuilding, the watertight and weatherproof properties of the protection are convincing.
Different cable sheathing variants for versatile protection
The requirements on cable sheathings are covered by the different types. Thus the Flexa SPR-PVC-AS, for example, with its spirally rolled profile and PVC sheath offers special protection since it is largely resistant to seawater. The type FLEXAgraff-CU-PU impresses with its PUR sheath and copper braiding, while the FLEXA SPR-PU with its PUR sheath is largely resistant to solvents. The watertight protective tubes guarantee high-quality cable protection.
