Phoenix Contact Push-in® connection terminal blocks
Tool-free connections are possible without any problems with Phoenix Contact Push-in® connection terminal blocks. A key advantage of this series of terminal blocks is the easy handling in the event of a direct conductor connection, with 50% lower insertion force. The contact springs are opened automatically when rigid conductors or conductors with ferrules that have a conductor cross-section of 0.34 mm² or more are pushed in. The integrated push button makes it possible to install smaller cross-sections (from 0.14 mm²) and disconnect the conductors. Simply pressing the push button does not create a direct contact with live parts.
PT Push-in® connection terminal blocks are the solution for field wiring. The technology promises vibration resistance in accordance with the railway standard DIN EN 50155 as well as shock resistance and impact resistance in accordance with current shipbuilding indexes. It is certified in the process engineering sector with the protection type “increased safety”.
The connection principle of PT Push-in® connection terminal blocks
With the PT Push-In® connection terminal block, conductors are wired without any tools and without a loss of quality. There is a suitable terminal block for every requirement (with a conductor cross-section between 0.14 mm² and 95 mm²). The technology is simple: the rigid single core cable or the single core cable with a ferrule (with a conductor cross-section from 0.34 mm²) is pushed directly into the conductor shaft. The contact spring opens automatically and independently ensures the required pressure force against the current bar. The wiring is released mechanically via a colour-coded push button. All types of conductor can be conveniently connected via a front connection with the Push-in® technology. To wire flexible conductors with a conductor cross-section of 0.14 mm² or more without a ferrule, simply press the push button when inserting the conductor.
The advantages of Push-in technology: Easy insertion with the Push-in technology
The contact spring opens automatically when the conductor is inserted. The integrated push button releases the contact again: Push-in easily contacts terminal blocks and automation components. Up to 50% lower insertion force and tool-free wiring are the strengths of the Phoenix Contact terminal block technology for conductors with a cross-section between 0.14 mm² and 150 mm², directly via the contact springs. The safe, time-saving cabling has a high contact quality. Rigid conductors or conductors with ferrules that have a cross-section of 0.25 mm² or more are pushed directly into the conductor shaft. The contact spring opens automatically when the conductor is inserted and ensures the required pressure force against the current bar. High-quality surfaces made of copper alloys ensure minimal contact resistance. The contact spring is made of high-quality spring steel and provides for maximum contact force and a vibration-resistant and gas-tight connection.

1. Fatigue-free work thanks to the low insertion force
Easy insertion for rigid conductors or conductors pre-assembled with ferrules that have a conductor cross-section of 0.14 mm² or more, with the maximum conductor pull-out force at the same time.
2. Push button for releasing the contacts
It is easy to release the conductors via the push button, without direct contact with live parts. To wire flexible conductors of 0.14 mm² or more without ferrules, you just need to press the push button when inserting the conductor. Safe wiring and operation by means of the push button in a contrasting colour. This can be operated with all standard screwdrivers.
3. First choice in confined spaces
3.5 mm wide terminal blocks for space-critical applications. Connection of all types of conductor with a convenient front connection.
4. Extremely durable – full approval
The Push-in terminal blocks are vibration-resistant in accordance with the railway standard DIN EN 50155, shock- and corrosion-resistant in accordance with the current shipbuilding indexes and certified in the process engineering sector with the protection type “increased safety” Ex e. The terminal blocks have the full approval package for all industries worldwide and for safety thanks to a high flammability rating.
