Sensor / actuator connectors
Variants of sensor/actuator connectors
In the area of sensors/actuators, the space-saving size M5 or the common sizes M8 and M12 are used. Sensor connectors are used on the cable side, device connectors are used on the housing side or the device side. Wall ducts are available for going through walls, in order to be able to continue to work with assembled sensor cables on both sides. Adapters serve as a junction between the M8 and M12 series. Y-distributors make it easy to bundle signals in a small space.
Sensor connector
Our range of sensor connectors consists of sizes M8 and M12. For technical reasons, only device connectors are available in the size M5. Sensor connectors come in both a straight and an angled version. Furthermore, the sensor connectors come in a shielded and a non-shielded version and with different connection technologies. Sensor connectors are available with 3 to 12 pins, depending on the size.
Connection technologies for sensor connectors
Sensor connectors are available in 3 different connection technologies:
- as a solder version
- as a screw version
- as an insulation displacement version
Encoding in M12 sensor connectors
In order to prevent mismatching, M12 connectors are encoded. In this segment, A-coding is used. For this, there is a stud between pin 1 and pin 2 on the pin side. The socket side has a slot in this area.
Device connector
Whether it is as a solder version or with pre-assembled stranded wire, device connectors are available in sizes M5, M8 and M12. Depending on the size, you will get the device connectors with 3 to 12 pins. Stainless steel versions are also available in the size M12. You will find the appropriate fixing nuts in the metric cable glands section. Wall ducts, adapters and distributors round off our product range of sensor/actuator connectors.
