What is a signal tower and what is it needed for?
In operating processes, the signal light serves as an optical element for visually representing the status of automated processes or machines. In contrast to a signal tower it is smaller and therefore also more compact. This is decisive, above all, for example, if they do not have as space much space on your machine.
What is a signal light needed for?
The signal light shows you changes in the production process of machines and systems using visual and / or acoustic signals. Consequently, you can constantly monitor the process and immediately see if something is not working. A specific operating state can then be assigned to the various colours or the optical signals such as continuous light or flashing light so that the employee knows immediately what type of fault is involved. They can immediately react to changes to the machines where, for example, the signal light red is flashing and prevent longer production stops.
What colours and what versions of signal lights are there?
Signal lights are available in the colours red, yellow, green, blue and white. A different meaning can be assigned to each colour. In addition to the colours, there is also the option of an acoustic signalling device (buzzer). As a result of this additional function, the signal light is not only able to send visual warning signals but also acoustic signals at a volume of 90dB.
If the combination of 5 colours and buzzer is not enough, it is also possible to operate the signal lights with flashing light and continuous light. Thus the flashing red light can be assigned a different meaning from the continuous red light.

What do the colours of the signal lights mean?
The signal light is still available in the various colours described above. The most widespread version is the red, yellow, green version – also called a traffic light (based on the traffic light). Green can stand for “Machine running", yellow for “Refilling” and red for “Fault”. However, there is no clear definition of the individual colours. It is recommended, however, that the meanings generally known from a set of traffic lights are retained. (Red for "Stop" and green for "Running").
Installation and qualities of a signal light
Tool-free installation ensures a quick use of the 24V signal light, as the connecting cable is easy to install. The electric terminal, to which the connection cable is already fitted, is located at the lower end of the signal light. As a result, the lights can be connected quickly and easily and production can begin. The extremely heat-resistant material allows the use of calottes at room temperatures from -5° C to 40° C. The high-quality construction corresponds to the standard EN 60947-5-1 and has CE approval.
Are there signal lights for wall mounted installation?
Yes. As every company has different requirements in respect of the design and technical standards, the signal lights can be installed individually. For frictionless use, the signalling technology is suitable both for direct installation and also holder assembly, e.g. on the wall or ceiling. Depending on the position, the angle and the height of the position, an appropriate base has to be selected.
What protection classes of signal lights are there?
There are signal lights in various protection classes. For example, the simplest signal lights already have function class IP54. You will fins signal lights from us that are suitable for industry and which have protection class IP 65. Thus the lights are protected both against dust against water jets from any direction.
