The protection can be newly installed or fitted later. This special electrical conduit must meet a wide range of requirements in terms of material, processing, product properties and the typical features for fire protection.
Absolute fire protection is offered by the FLEXAhightemp products in the signal colour red. The heat-resistant conduit has a protective silicone sheathing. The matching fire protection swathing tape consisting of a calcium-silicate braiding and silicone sheathing has a firm selvage and can also be fitted later as fire protection. The whole thing is fixed in place using suitable adhesive tape, which has a fireblocker coating made of aramide or calcium-silicate with silicone coating.
Heat-resistant conduits - meet fire protection requirements
With their properties, the fire protection products meet the necessary fire protection specifications and ensure maximum safety. A FLEXAhightemp is self-extinguishing in fire behaviour and at the same time liquid-tight and largely resistant to seawater. The heat-resistant conduit can withstand temperatures from -50°C to 350°C, and for short periods even temperatures of up to 700°C are possible. Mechanically, they are abrasion-resistant as well as very flexible and largely resistant to acid and oil. With the different nominal sizes in various inner and outer diameters, the required quantity can easily be ordered to fit exactly.
The fire protection complies with protection class IP68 and impresses with its outstanding features. The fire protection conduit creates ideal conditions as a cover for cables and lines, hydraulic hoses and cooling water hoses. The products are watertight and waterproof, non-flammable and have good radiation resistance. The flame-retardant conduit is used at high temperatures and serves as protection against open flame, sparking and metal splashes. In accident protection, for example, a FLEXAhightemp swathing tapeprevents burns on fittings, exhaust or hot metal conduits.
