Industry 4.0 components from Schlegel
Whenever an industrial PC is connected to the company network or machines and devices are to be fitted a RJ45 jack, Schlegel Industry 4.0 components are used. Apart from socket inserts for RJ45 connectors, we offer microphone, WLAN antennae and WLAN adapters designed for the industrial area in circular and rectangular shape from Schlegel. Out Industry 4.0 components are designed for a temperature range from -20°C to 60°C, depending on the model, and are certified either according to protection class IP20 or IP65.
What do we mean by Industry 4.0 components?
In the area of control and signalling devices, Industry 4.0 components have become essential because of the advancing digitalisation in industry. InRJ45 connections are typically used to connect PCs with the company network, which facilitate a simple and compliant connection. In addition, the connection to the internet/company network by WLAN is even more important, as these radio-based network connections are established without costly cabling.
Where are Industry 4.0 components used?
Industry 4.0 components are needed in order to make connections from industrial PCs or operating consoles to the outside. The most frequently used connections include sockets for RJ45 connectors (Western connectors), which are used both in IT and for connecting production systems, data communication systems and measurement technology.
What type of Industry 4.0 components are there?
- RJ45 sockets RONTRON-R-Juwel: circular for installation openings with a diameter of 22.3mm. Certified according to protection class IP20 and designed for an operating temperature from -20°C to 60°C. Depending on the application, the Schlegel RJ45 sockets are also available with the following connection technologies: Socket/cable connector and coupler/socket-socket. Both models have an RJ45 jack on the external connection side and after connection are ready for use directly for 8-pin RJ45 connectors. The connection side 2 (inside) is available either with an RJ45 jack or with an 8-pin cable + RJ45 connection, depending on the model. This allows an uncomplicated connection using the existing RJ45 jack or via an existing RJ45 cable.
- RJ45 jacks RONTRON-Q-Juwel: available in two versions with a square, rounded shape for installation openings with a diameter of 22.3mm, also with a silver front frame. Both models are certified according to protection class IP20 and are designed for operating temperatures from -20°C to 60°C. The external connector side has an RJ45 jack and thus is ready for connecting the 8-pin RJ45 connector. Depending in the version, the connection side 2 (internal) is available with RJ45 jack or with 8-pin cable + RJ45 connector.
- WLAN adapter: Adapter on USB connector type A from the RONTRON-R-Juwel series. Available in black and silver, and certified according to protection class IP65.
- WiFI antenna: suitable for extending an internal WLAN connection from a housing outside. The circular WiFi antenna from the RONTRON-R-Juwel series is available in two versions: black or silver. Both versions have an installation depth of 27.0mm and are certified according to protection class IP65.
- Capacitor microphone: circular shape available with installation depth of 44.0mm. Certified according to protection class IP65 with silver front frame.
What types of Industry 4.0 components are available?
- RJ45 Buchsen RONTRON-R-Juwel: in round design for installation openings with a diameter of 22.3 mm. Certified to protection class IP20 and designed for an operating temperature of -20°C to 60°C. Depending on the application, the Schlegel RJ45 sockets are optionally available with the following connection technologies: Socket/cable plug and coupler/socket/jack. Both models are equipped with an RJ45 socket on the external plug-in side and are ready for direct use with 8-pin RJ45 plugs after connection. Depending on the type, plug-in side 2 (internal) is optionally available with an RJ45 socket or with an 8-pin cable + RJ45 plug. This enables uncomplicated connection using an existing RJ45 socket or an existing RJ45 cable.

Both models are certified to protection class IP20 and designed for operating temperatures from -20°C to 60°C. The external plug-in side is equipped with an RJ45 socket and is therefore ready for the connection of 8-pin RJ45 plugs. Depending on the variant, plug-in side 2 (internal) is available with an RJ45 socket or with an 8-pin cable + RJ45 plug.
- WiFi antenna: suitable for routing an internal WLAN connection from an enclosure to the outside. The round WiFi antenna from the RONTRON-R-Juwel series is available in two versions: black or silver. Both versions have an installation depth of 27.0 mm and are certified to protection class IP65.
- Capacitive microphone: available in a round design with an installation depth of 44.0 mm. Certified to protection class IP65 with front frame in silver.
