Switch housing / foot switch
Industry quality switch housings
Whether plastic or stainless steel: our switch housings from Schlegel are characterised by their robust and long-lived design. Depending on the model, they are certified according to protection class IP65 and thus are dust-tight and protected against penetrating water. Depending on the intended purpose, the housings are prefitted with emergency stop switches, on/off switches or can be individually fitted with switches.
What is a switch housing?
Switch housings hold switches and buttons and - depending on the design of the housing - protect against external factors.
In addition, switch housings make switches visually easier to identify thanks to their distinct colours. In addition, plastic switch housings and stainless steel switch housings are always used when tools and machines are fitted with the necessary operating elements. This also eliminates the need for installation openings. Furthermore, switch housings increase flexibility as they can be mounted in an easily accessible location close to the machine or further away.

What are the areas of use for switch housings?
Whenever machines, tools, roller doors or production systems need to be switched on and off or functions activated and deactivated, robust housings are used for switches and control elements. Switch housings also allow flexible positioning of the switches on a system. In addition, even emergency stop switches need a corresponding switch housing. They allow individual positioning so that the switch or button installed in them can be reached optimally in dangerous situations or in the event of an emergency stop.
