H05Z-K 90°C – The halogen-free single core from Lapp
Main circuits are connected to one another with the single core cables used in the electrical installation. This ensures that mobile consumers are permanently supplied with electrical energy. The H05Z-K 90°C single core cable from Lapp has all the product properties to comply with the structural and design requirements, and thus it ensures fault-free connection. The material, number of cores and nominal cross-section can be selected to suit the respective installation. The cross-section size depends on the load the wires must carry.
For a safe electrical installation - H05Z-K 90°C single core
The stranded wire consists of bare copper wires, which comply with the fine wire conductor construction according to VDE 0295, Class 5. The core insulation is made of a special halogen-free, cross-linked polymer mixture, which complies with IEC 60754-2 guidelines for corrosivity of gases formed in fires. The halogen-free insulation ensures that no corrosive gases are formed in the event of a fire. Therefore, they are very well suited for fixed, protected installation in appliances and lamps. Installing this stranded wire is especially well suited for applications that require a certain fire behaviour. It meets the requirements for keeping smoke development and the formation of corrosive gases to a minimum in the event of a fire. The single core cable is not suitable for use outdoors. The temperature range in dry spaces is -15°C to 90°C. The minimum bend radius of 4.0x the outer diameter for fixed installations provides the required flexibility. Different colours such as black, blue, green/yellow, brown, grey, dark blue, ultramarine blue, yellow, green, orange, pink, red, purple and white enable simple connection, as specific functions can be assigned to each colour.
What does the designation H05Z-K 90°C mean?
The product designation of the single core contains letters and numbers and assists in selecting the right cable. The letters specify the cable’s properties and the materials used; the numbers stand for the number of cores and their size. The H05Z-K single core cable can be translated as follows:
- H – harmonised cable designation, the type identification is valid throughout Europe in accordance with the (HAR) DIN standard VDE0281/0282/0292
- 05 - designates the rated voltage, here the approval for 300V between the outer conductor and the earth potential (PE), and 500V between the outer conductors
- Z – wire/core insulation made of halogen-free, cross-linked polyolefin compound, heat resistant to + 90° C
- K – fine wire, i.e. flexible, for fixed installation
