Harting Han-Snap® series
A Harting connector installed with a Han-Snap® element normally does not have touch protection. The protection against electric shock must be ensured by the type of installation by the user. The consistency of the PE connection must be checked by the user. The PE terminal must be equilateral.
- The Han-Snap® system is ideal for connectors within closed electrical workshops. These may be rooms, cabinets or distributor boxes.
- The Han-Snap® elements are technically high-quality plastic parts with optimum properties for the
- Reduction of material and installation costs;

- The contact inserts can be mounted on the components, e.g. the panel mounting and latching parts, with the standard insert mounting screws (tightening torque 0.8 Nm).
- Fixings offer high reliability. No impairment if torque is exceeded slightly.
- Alternatively, Han® coding elements (coding pins, guide pins and bushes) can be used. The identification strip 9 x 20 mm can be fitted in both sides of the latching parts. The identification strip 7 x 20 mm also fits in the slot on the end face of each latching part.
- Up to 2 cable ties with max. 5 mm width can be used on the strain relief element.
Caution! Always fit the strain relief element on the side of the contact insert that is opposite the PE terminal.

- The carrier element is the base element for mounting contact inserts transversely on standard rails, for example:
- Top hat rail, 35 x 7.5 or 35 x 15 in accordance with DIN EN 60 715
- C-rail, C 30 in accordance with DIN EN 60 715
- G-rail, G 32 in accordance with DIN EN 60 715 - If exposed to strong vibrations, only use top hat rail 35 x 15. Also recommended when using the large carrier element (greater stability).
- Insert mounting type 6/10 is suitable for contact inserts in sizes 6 B and 10 B.
- Insert mounting type 6/24 is suitable for all contact inserts in sizes 6 B, 10 B, 16 B and 24 B, as well as 16 A with the corresponding adapter.

Details
A shell housing consists of 2 identical half shells. Each housing has 3 cable entries, 1x on top and one on each side. 2 cable entries can be closed using the supplied blanking plugs. There are rectangular openings near the cable entries for attaching cable ties up to max. 5 mm width. Where the housing shells join, they are held together by the screws from the contact insert.
The half shells can be released using a screwdriver (3.5 x 0.5). Alternatively, Han® coding elements (coding pins or guide pins and bushes) may be used instead of the standard fastening screws. Tightening torque 0.8 Nm.
- Fixings offer high reliability.
- No impairment if torque is exceeded slightly.
- The blanking plugs have slots for identification strips. The following can be fitted as required: Identification strip 7 x 20 mm or 9 x 20 mm Size 16 A with the corresponding adapter.
- The contact inserts can be mounted to the adapters with the standard insert mounting screws. These can then be fixed to the corresponding Han-Snap® elements with the supplied screws.
