Reliable construction of the LiYCY TP cable
The PVC data line LiYCY TP with full copper shielding is available in five versions, which come in different cross-sections. The twisted pair cores of the cable are constructed with a copper shielding, enabling decoupling of electric circuits. The fine wire strand also consists of bare copper wires according to VDE Class 5 conductor construction. Both the core insulation and the outer jacket are made of durable polyvinyl chloride (PVC), which is suitable for technical applications; the copper braiding and the drain wire are tin-plated. As a result, electrical impulses are minimised by external components such as a power cable. For clear assignment, the coloured cores are assigned according to the DIN EN 47100 colour code (1=white, 2=brown, 3=green, 4=yellow). The small minimum bending radius of 5.0 times the outer diameter in fixed installations gives the cable a high degree of flexibility and allows for use in temperatures ranging from -30°C to 70°C; the minimum bending radius of 10.0 times the outer diameter in moving installations allows for use in temperatures from -5°C to 70 °C. Installing the data cable provides a secure connection both in dry and damp spaces.
Product properties and definition of the product designation LIYCY-TP
With a peak operating voltage of 350/500V, a core/core test voltage of 1500V and a core/shield test voltage of 1200V, the cable is not suitable for high-voltage purposes. In terms of fire behaviour, it has flame retardant properties according to IEC 60332-1-2. The cables are ideally suited for installation in dry, damp and wet spaces, but not outdoors. The letters and numbers printed on the cable provide information about the respective construction and designated use. This is used to find the right cable for the various applications.
