Ölflex FD 855 CP – Shielded wire for harsh conditions
This wire is an outstanding choice for operating power chains in extreme environmental conditions. This Ölflex cable is extremely durable as it is resistant to chemical influences, mechanical stress and high and low temperatures. In contrast to the similar Ölflex FD 855 P , the Ölflex FD 855 CP has copper shielding. Therefore, it is EMC-compatible and is less susceptible to surrounding interference. As with its unshielded counterpart, the jacket consists of an oil-, notch- and abrasion-resistant PUR material. The jacket resists grease, dust, dirt, cooling lubricant and drilling fluid. Due to its high notch-resistance, the jacket is also not easily damaged mechanically. These properties ensure the robustness and durability of this wire. It is halogen-free and flame retardant according to IEC 60332-1-2. The voltage range is 300/500V at a test voltage of 3000V.
Properties - Resists high temperatures and is cold flexible
An important advantage of the Ölflex FD 855 CP is its resistance to cold to -40°C. This is advantageous when frequently used in power track chains. This is possible with this wire even at very low temperatures, whether in cold storage warehouses or in cold climates. It is also highly tolerant to mechanical stress in power chain operation. The permissible bending radii are pleasantly small, but the shielding prevents it from reaching the values of the unshielded version. The maximum bending radius of the Ölflex FD 855 CP is 7.5 times the outer diameter (OD) in moving installations and 4 times the OD in fixed installations. With the Ölflex FD 855 P this is 5 times the OD in moving installations and 3 times the OD in fixed installations. The overall temperature range in moving installations extends from -40°C to +80°C. This enables use in difficult climatic conditions and thermally challenging processes.
